it s stating again:103631605...although 1.Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga have a few more weeks left to offical start the newly formed 3.Bundesliga is starting already today.

i ll do my picks as i did the last years. Every play is to risk 1 unit unless i call it a "big" 2 unit play.

I ll also split records in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bundesliga to see where i am hot or not.
Goal for the season is again to be 30-40 units in positive as i always did.

Friday

3.Bundesliga (2.30 pm ET)

Erfurt- Dresden: Erfurt pk,-0.5 @ 2.0

it s the start of the newly formed 3.Liga..it substitutes the former Regionalliga, which was played in a "South" and " North"-splitting.
The 4 relegated team from 2.Bundesliga last season plus the top 10 teams from Regionalliga north and South take part.
it s the first time Germany plays a "nationwide" 3rd Liga as it is done in England already....competition will be tougher, teams stronger and even more TV money involved then before....the will usually show the friday game live on TV.

Today s game is already a big regional derby. 2 east-german teams with big history are facing each other.
Erfurt was a very good team last year in Regionalliga. they have not done many changes in off-season and had a well running preparation. they are strong at home and main positive is that the team should be similar to last year and can go right from the start.
They are expected to be in the upper part of standings.
Dresden has a lot of new players, especially youngsters.
They should play solid defense, but still have problems to find the right mixture in midfield and offense. They are a very young team and didnt play a great pre-season (mainly they had no real test, just played local sub-league teams).
The start of the season should be a bit early for a team expected to be in midfield of table after a slow start.

the big extra factor here is that it is a hugh derby...they are expecting 20.000 fans for the opening match and the atmosphere will be very heated, especially in evening atmosphere....so everything can happen, but without the "derby"-factor almost make it a big play with the stronger, more prepared team playing at home

Thx guys for the best wishes....started off with a loss, but a "new"-league is always tough to figure out in the beginning...i ll treat it careful for first few weeks.

If you have questions, as always will try to answer them in time..... should be a fun season

Saturday

3. Bundesliga

Stuttgart II- Offenbach: Offenbach pk @ 2.00
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Two strong teams facing each other...both teams have not much changes. Offenbach is potentally one of the best teams in league with very good test results also against better teams. The defense is strong and with one of the highest budgets in league they will go for promotion.
Stuttgart is the B-Team of VFB. These B-Teams are allowed have to play with a minimum number of U21-players.therefore these teams usually play stronger in 2nd half of season as they always have to involve new youngsters.
It s an open games, but Offenbach should have a bigger chance for the win.

Unterhaching- Bremen II: Unterhaching –0.5 @ 1.85 !! 2 units!!

Unterhaching will be one of the best teams in league...they have solid new players, great test results and as a former 1.Liga club they are definitely aiming for promotion.
Bremen’s B-team has some problems. They let go 12 players and have 12 new players. They under the same U21-rule as Stuttgart and will suffer with that today as they have two üplayers who are still involved in the U19 European Championship final today.
Should be a nice home win here. Bremen s time will come later in season
